Erik has done it again! Here is the final distillery player board, that each player has in front of them for the game. Filling it with ingredients, barrels, bottles, and spirits, no two distillery player boards will be the same in a game.
Here’s what Erik had to say about it in a recent art update: “It’s a re-painting and re-sizing of a lot of your old favorites. Notably, the whole thing fits into an 8.5″ x 11” sheet, aka “letter size” for those of you keeping track at home. This will allow us to fit the board into the box without any folding, AND it will be a lot more useful for our print-and-play plans. PnP folks are pretty resourceful, but I think it’s nice to throw them a bone. The top floor has the office, as I covered last week, as well as a big, empty “Distillery” area, where you can install Distillery Upgrade cards, whether it’s installing a new Worm Tub, or hiring a staff Glassblower. Below that is the Pantry, the Storeroom (formerly called ‘bottle storage’ and ‘barrel storage,’), and a two-sided warehouse for aging the age-able spirits. I worked hard to present an old, empty, semi-abandoned distillery, without actually making it feel too decrepit or run-down. With the exception of the warehouse, which has a faint, curved outline, each card space is separated by a column, indicating card placement and separation. Dave called this my “masterpiece,” which I think is jumping the gun a bit (I’m still young!), but I do think it came out pretty well and I’m stoked to see the printed prototype with my own eyes!”
